The North Cascades Institute is located near Diablo Lake. The goal of the Institute is to help people of all ages experience and enjoy the mountains, rivers, forests, people and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest through educational programming and field experience. We will arrive in time for an organic home-made lunch and tour the campus.

 The Cedarworks Gallery was started by the Lummi Cultural Arts Association, and features art from local artists. Hamann's Gallery has art from many Northwest and nationally known artists.

 We're headed for Deception Pass for a tour aboard the Island Whaler, a state of the art aluminum catamaran. Our interpreter will tell us the history of the area as well as identify wildlife as we actually go through the pass. Don't forget the picnic, this should be fun!

 Wine tasting and art, what a great combination. This event features over 60 of the finest artists in northwest Washington. Dakota Creek Winery produces premium wines made with hand picked grapes from two outstanding vineyards in the Rattlesnake Hills near Yakima.
Tuesday, August 31st at 7:00 pm at The Willows  Randi is known for her gift of music and shares it with others in a variety of ways. Please join us for an evening of classical flute music.

The Academy for Lifelong Learning, affiliated with Western Washington University, provides educational, cultural and social opportunities for adults of all ages.
